Hello again peeps. :)
I wasn't planning to blog again but since Yi May requested for it...
So here it is.
I did this for you, Yi May!! Haha.
School holidays have started and is already halfway through.
But is it just me or the days are really boring?
I mean, boring enough for me to be to be looking forward for tuitions! That HAS to be kinda bad right?
Maybe I'm turning into a nerd. :/
So I'd just take full advantage of my NERDINESS and blog about...
well,
Books.
Hahaha. Well, I'm a real bookworm, (only in storybooks kay, I don't go around reading non-fictions or anything) so I'm gonna share some of my favourite books here today! :)
The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot Romance + Supernatural. :D
Usually I don't have the time for typical chick lit books since most of them are so predictable and well.. shallow. But Meg Cabot is, of course the only exception. Her writing is good and entertaining, it never fails to capture my attention. For those who've never heard of Meg Cabot, you guys must have definitely heard of Princess Diaries! Meg Cabot is the author for the series. :)I don't recommend Princess Diaries for older teens though. The plot ain't that good. I got bored after the 3rd book. Haha. Her latest book, Abandon is out! Gonna get it soon. :) It's about Greek Myth (drools), suitable for a Greek Myth freak like me. :D
The Power of Five by Anthony HorowitzThe picture above is of the first book of the series, Raven's Gate.
I first got hooked on it because of Sara Phan, my childhood friend. :)
Can you see this Sara? :D Hello!!
Anyways, it's a book for boys actually. Action and fantasy, without an ounce of romance.
But hey, the lack of romance doesn't make it less awesome!
The Bridgerton Series by Julia QuinnRegency novels.
My all time favourite genre!!
Julia Quinn is a great author, and most of her books are really good except for a few of them.
The first book I've read from her is The Duke And I (from the Bridgerton series) and ever since then, I've always been her avid fan. :)
For those who are familiar with this genre, you should really check her books out! The heroes in her books ain't as egoistic the way the heroes in some regency novels tend to be, which is the number 1 reason why I love her books so much. :D
No offense Darinee! I can't stand bossy egoistical males. :/
Dear John by Nicholas SparksFamiliar with it? I bet you've heard of the movie Dear John.Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum? Haha. It's a really sad story, made me weep throughout the book.Yeah, I'm just emotional like that. Haha.So I would not recommend this for those with soft hearts or easily bruised souls or something. It'll make you feel depressed for a couple of daysss. :/Oh, be sure to check out A Walk to Remember too. Awesome stuff. But sad.
Tada! The best for the last! Harry Potter series by JK Rowling!Don't only watch the movies, read the books!
The books are waaaay better than the shows! Especially for The Goblet Of Fire.
The movie left out so many things from the book! Even the sphinx. :(
Well, my favourite book from the series is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows.
The end for the most awaited book! But heeeey, why did so many people have to die there?!
It made me cry!
...
Yeah, it really did. I cried at the parts where Mad Eye Moody and Fred died. :/ Oh, not to mention the part where Dobby died. :'(
Am I the only one who did that?? Cry I mean.
Please say I'm not the only one...
Well, I think I should end this post here before I bore the non-book lovers. Hehe.
I guess I AM sorta nerdish after all. Haha.
Feel free to post comments at my chatbox! (click twice on the word chatbox over there for the chatbox to appear)
